Vitrines station Breda - BredaPhoto location

Two large art display cases at Breda station form one of the Breda Photography locations.

This entire year, works by recently graduated artists from various art academies in the Netherlands are on display here. During the BredaPhoto period, Aline Papenheim and Yvela Jessica are exhibiting here.

Aline Papenheim - In the Forest Behind My Father’s House
In this project, Aline Papenheim explores how nature, identity, and traditions are interconnected. The restoration of a damaged forest serves as a metaphor for the strength of diversity and change. Through photography, film, and encounters with residents, Papenheim demonstrates how new connections can emerge between people, nature, and different perspectives.

Yvela Jessica - It Means Everything Because This Is Who I Am
In this project, Yvela Jessica examines how adoption and heritage influence identity and the feeling of being at home somewhere. Through conversations, photography, film, and archival material, she shares her personal journey and illustrates how representation, recognition, and human connection can help better understand oneself.

The BredaPhoto vitrines are located on the Belcrum side (north side) of the Central Station and are freely accessible 24/7. You do not need a BredaPhoto ticket for this.
As this exhibition is situated in an active train station, it may be busy at times.
