Seeligpark

Breda has a new city park. Since 6 May 2026, Seeligpark has been officially open to the public.

The Seeligpark is located in the Fellenoord district and was formerly part of the Seelig Barracks. An enclosed military site, therefore. The park is not finished yet, but it is open to everyone. In the coming years, it will be further developed into a pleasant park where people can gather and exercise.

Approximately two-thirds of the site is now being developed as a temporary park. The rest will follow once the Defence has vacated the site entirely. This is expected to be in 2029.

On the edge of the park are the well-known 'white houses' of Defence. These will remain and be repurposed.

In the Seeligpark, various activities will also be organised in the future.

The park is always open. There are no toilet facilities.
