Home matches NAC Breda
25 April 2026 and 10 May 2026
In 1996, the football club opened this new stadium. It was then called the 'Fujifilm Stadium'. In 2006, the stadium was given a new name, in tribute to club icon Antoon (Rat) Verlegh (1896-1960). Rat Verlegh was associated with NAC as a player, coach, board member, and honorary chairman.
The stadium has been expanded several times, and since the last renovation (2024-2025), it has a capacity of 20,500 spectators.

The last renovation of the Rat Verlegh Stadium (2024-2025) was substantial. The pitch was lowered and consequently made suitable for large-scale events.
But a lot of work has also been done to make the stadium more sustainable, and an innovative system has been installed to keep the quality of the grass surface optimal.
For example, thousands of plastic crates were placed under the pitch (with the help of supporters!). These ensure that rainwater and irrigation water can feed the roots of the grass from below.
Furthermore, the stadium has been disconnected from district heating, and an on-site energy storage system has been implemented underground, which can keep the pitch warm and the offices cool.
Sensors continuously monitor what is needed at any given moment.
The NAC evenings are iconic, but the Rat Verlegh Stadium offers more. It is an excellent venue for hosting meetings, congresses, weddings, fairs, and events.
For this purpose, the stadium has various rooms for rent, some with a view of the pitch.
The rental of these spaces is coordinated by NHG Horeca.
