publieke werken

The relaxed atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and the food and drinks have made ‘PW’ a café where you quickly feel at home for many decades.

De publieke werken (public works) belongs to the Duke Jan Society and has an extensive range of (special) beers on tap and by the bottle.

Here you can have lunch, drinks, and dinner. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, club sandwiches, and fried eggs. In the restaurant, you can order dishes such as a steak, spare ribs, satay, and the PW burger. There is also a three-course set menu for 28.25 euros.

Public Works also has a separate brown café for private parties, events, dinners, and buffets. Celebrate in your own café for 60 to 120 people. Want to hold a meeting during the day? That’s also possible; PW offers meeting packages starting from 15 people.

Accessibility info:
It is a spacious café, but without an accessible toilet. Just 100 meters away, you can find the Explore Breda Store, where an accessible public toilet is available (Wed-Sat 10:00-17:00).
