Project Space Chassé Theater - BredaPhoto location
On the front of the Chassé Theatre you'll find the exhibition and educational space. Here, during BredaPhoto, you can visit Memories of Love Returned, a project that photographer/filmmaker Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine from Uganda has worked on for 22 years.
Through photographs and film, he introduces the viewer to photographer Kibaate Aloysius Ssalongo and the role this man has played for his community.
The film revolves around a large outdoor exhibition with photos of Kibaate Aloysius Ssalongo in his hometown. This exhibition had significant consequences because long-lost photographs were rediscovered, hidden family stories were brought to light, and people came across images of family members never seen before. All thanks to the work of Kibaate.
Memories of Love Returned is a compelling journey in search of identity and a touching testament to the healing and connective power of photography
