The Nieuwe Mark brings more nature and water into the city centre. This provides cooling, beautification, and greening. The material of the quay walls allows plants to easily germinate and grow. The trees in the quay walls are also innovative. The 'GreenQuays' align with Breda's ambition to become a City in a Park. &nbsp;The title National Park City was already achieved by Breda in 2025.&nbsp;On the other side, old and new seamlessly connect. The apartment complex Marquant beautifully complements the former chapel, which is now part of Hotel Nassau Breda.

The first outlines of the new city river are already visible. With more nature and water, the Nieuwe Mark provides cooling, beautification, and greening of the city centre.
