Located in the midst of the forests, heather, and fens of Strijbeek lies De Smokkelaar, an ideal spot for coffee with pastries, lunch, drinks, or dinner. It's also a great starting point for hiking and cycling.
From here, for example, the Smuggling Route starts, an 8 km long walk through the area where smugglers used to clandestinely bring all kinds of goods across the border.
