That Breda is a city in the green, you actually experience best during a canal cruise through the singels. Although you pass right along the city centre, the hustle and bustle of the city seems far away. A cruise in Breda is an experience for young and old. Cruise company De Nieuwe Mark sails with electrically powered boats. This way, you sail quietly, sustainably and environmentally friendly. 

The skipper tells about all kinds of interesting sights along the route, such as the Spanjaardsgat, the Castle of Breda, the Dome (former prison) and Chassé Park.

• 1 May to 15 June:
  - Tuesday to Friday 13:00-17:00 (last departure 16:00)
  - Saturday and Sunday 10:00-18:00 (last departure 17:00)

  - daily 10:00-18:00 (last departure 17:00) - times subject to change

Reservations
Booking a canal cruise in advance can be done online or at the Explore Breda Store. Tickets are also available at the boarding boat at the Harbour. 

Wheelchair lift
The large cruise boat suitable for wheelchair users is undergoing major maintenance. Unfortunately, this season there are no options for wheelchair users to join the cruise.

Groups
For groups, it is possible to rent an entire boat with a skipper. Call 06-20015533 to discuss the options.
