WEVAL (live) // TURF in MEZZ

Weval has played countless festivals such as Primavera and Pukkelpop, but with their latest album they are going in a completely different direction. 

On 27th November, Weval will come to MEZZ during TURF with an evening full of unfiltered dance energy. For years, Weval deliberately stayed away from traditional club mainstream. Until they came across the term ‘chorophobia’. What does it mean? The fear of dancing. The duo realised that they had always unconsciously restrained themselves. The result of that realisation? Their most extroverted, groove-driven, and liberating album to date: ‘CHOROPHOBIA’. Not a cold, perfectly produced club record, but the ultimate soundtrack for a slightly chaotic, warm house party. Inspired by a grainy iPhone photo of a friend DJing with one hand and eating a snack with the other, Weval opted for a looser, rougher approach. 

Expect faster BPMs, daring genre switches, and a playful mix of acid, funk, bass, and psychedelic pop.
