Vive La Fête in MEZZ

The band was founded in 1997 by Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens. Their blend of electronic music, new wave, guitars and French vocals quickly earned them a fanbase well beyond Belgium. With albums such as 'République Populaire' and 'Nuit Blanche', the band achieved international success, while tracks such as 'Je Ne Veux Pas', 'Touche Pas', 'Maquillage' and 'Noir Désir' have been firm live favourites for years. In 2026, the band celebrated its history with the book 'Vive l’Archive: 30 ans de fête', created from the band’s personal archive. Vive la Fête toured extensively across Europe and performed in countries including Russia, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and other parts of Latin America. The fashion world also took notice of the band: Karl Lagerfeld discovered them, leading to performances at Chanel events and international fashion shows.
