On 31 October and 1 November, Stormkamer will perform the theatre piece ‘De Salon tussen Zorg en Zuchten’ in Breda-Noord. With this production, the company opens a conversation about a topical question: how do we care for one another in a society in which people are increasingly set against each other? ‘The Salon between Care and Sighs’ is not an ordinary performance. Throughout the evening, conversations, music and theatre flow into one another. Care professionals, policymakers and residents from Breda-Noord meet and engage in conversation. The performance is part of beZORGd, a multi-year theatre project about care and living together. ‘The Salon between Care and Sighs’ is the first performance in this project. Stormkamer spoke to people from various cities, including Breda. Their stories and ideas have been incorporated into this and future performances. The sequel, ‘The Encounter Attached to You’, will follow in 2027.
