The Special Olympics National Games are held once every two years and are this year from 14 to 16 June in Breda and Tilburg. It is the largest national sporting event for people with intellectual disabilities. These National Games fall under the umbrella Special Olympics Inc, a global organisation with more than 190 member countries. Every week, more than 4 million athletes worldwide play sports under the guidance of millions of volunteers.
