Special film screening Remembrance Day: The Pianist

During the National Remembrance on 4 May, the Netherlands pauses to reflect on the victims of the Second World War and of subsequent war situations and peace operations. On that day, the important film The Pianist will be screened once. Director Roman Polanski described The Pianist as his “most personal film”. Adrian Brody – who stars in The Pianist – won his second Oscar this year for Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist.

The film about his harrowing experiences in the Warsaw ghetto – made by Polish director Roman Polanski himself – is an unforgettable epic about the power of hope and the resilience of the human spirit. A miraculous survival story that has been brought vividly to life with masterful skill.
