Sietepè in the Waalse Kerk

Gabriel Rios and Augusto Bracho had admired each other’s music for years before Rios decided to bring the Venezuelan singer-songwriter to Europe. They took to the stage together and wrote songs. Producer and multi-instrumentalist Ruben Samama completes the trio. Before long, it became clear that this would be more than just a few songs: a whole album was taking shape.

Under the name Sietepè, the three travellers bring their worlds together. From Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Netherlands. On their forthcoming album ‘Edad Media’, they draw inspiration from Latin American musical heritage, while keeping both feet firmly planted in the here and now. Their music collides, ignites and merges into something new.
