Ronker & Cesar Sun at Poppodium Phoenix

Some bands wait to be discovered, while others kick the door in themselves! RONKER and CESAR SUN chose the latter and built an impressive reputation in just a few years: from Hellfest, Jera on Air, the Ghent Festivities and Pukkelpop to a sold-out Ancienne Belgique and support shows for Show Me The Body and The Melvins.

Ronker - Formed in the Belgian "swamplands" in 2020, with a sound the band itself dubbed "speed noise": the nostalgia of early hardcore punk fused with the dark intensity of ’90s grunge and metal. Kerrang praised their genre-defying sound, while Metal Hammer UK compared the new record to the early fury of IDLES, with extra weight and aggression. Few frills, plenty of sweat.

Cesar Sun - Psychedelic stonerpunk from Belgium, built on fuzzed-out riffs, distorted melodies and a rhythm section that hits harder than you expect. After their debut EP "The ASHTRAY Tapes", the trio took the next step with their debut album "The Palace".

For fans of hardcore punk, noise rock and stonerpunk: an evening to sing along and sweat along to.
