Retro Futurism at Poppodium Phoenix

An evening of “Back to the Future” with contemporary acts bringing the retro sound from the underground! Don’t expect fancy dress, but a trip through electro, industrial, EBM, post-punk and wave.

Tigerjunge (DE) – German industrial duo combining sampled, distorted guitars and live drums with a spiritual and psychological message, often referred to as the “German Sleaford Mods”. Live, it feels like a club set and a punk show rolled into one.

Hollow Reflection – DIY dark synth project with menacing beats, seductive bass riffs and cryptic Bulgarian and English vocals. EBM, wave and punk that could have come straight from a forgotten 1980s film.

XTORT – Somewhere between Kraftwerk, DAF and techno, XTORT bombards you with 80s electro beats. They have previously shared the stage with The Sisters of Mercy, The Young Gods and Mortiis.

DJ Dragnet – After the bands, vinyl DJ DJ Dragnet (Gene Teysse, founder of In Depth Music) takes over with post-punk, goth, new wave and shoegaze: forgotten gems alongside the classics. So dance your way into the night!
