Phoenix Plugged: BandF! + Statement + NoMessUp

BandF!
Formed in 2006 as Brothers and Friends: two brothers and three friends with a fondness for acoustic songs. Over the years, the line-up changed, the genre changed and the name changed along with it. What remained is a group of men who entered the music world later in life, but are no less enthusiastic for it. BandF! stands for rock and blues with a character of its own, complemented by a touch of country and unexpected covers. From Voltage to David Bowie: the repertoire is just as diverse as the band members’ own musical tastes. Previously seen at POBparade, Hop On Hop Off Festival and Winterstube, among others.

Statement
It all started with a beer at the friends’ festival “Etten-Leur dendert deur”, where Rob (guitar) and André (bass) came up with the idea for a new cover band in Breda. Through former bandmates and musical connections in Princenhage, the line-up was soon complete, with Christ on drums and Raymond on vocals. There was an instant connection from the very first rehearsal, and that connection only grew stronger when the band found its way to Phoenix. Statement now has dozens of covers ready to play, from Editors to Green Day to Golden Earring, and on 6 November the band will perform a strong selection of them.

NoMessUp
Sylvia (vocals), Stefan (bass), Tjeerd (keys), Frank (drums) and Abco (guitar) make up NoMessUp, a band whose repertoire effortlessly moves between soul, blues rock, pop and rock. From timeless classics from the seventies to modern covers from today: NoMessUp proves that good music knows no genre! Three bands, three sounds, one stage. Come and see what it sounds like when the rehearsal room makes way for the real thing. Entry is free, so you can enjoy an extra drink without worry!
