Future jazz trio .multibeat brings the worlds of hip hop and jazz together to create something unique.
Information
The last part of their name, the 'beat', is at the heart of everything they do. Influenced by Robert Glasper, J Dilla, and the new British jazz wave, the trio also draws inspiration from collaborations with a wide range of artists, mostly local. The collective from Utrecht consists of Thijs van Zutphen (bass), Aron Smit (drums), and Boudewijn Pleij (keyboards).
Live, they showcase a mix of original work, creative covers, improvisation, and synthesizers.
