Lunch concert at the Waalse Kerk

The Stichting Cultuur tijdens het middaguur organises a diverse concert programme in the Waalse Church with a lunch concert every Friday at 12:00 pm.

Friday 6 February: Alexander Chater (piano) is of South African descent. He was introduced to classical music at a young age and received his first piano and violin lessons when he was four years old. Alexander studied classical piano at the Rotterdam Conservatory and performed as a soloist and chamber musician at De Doelen Rotterdam, Muziek in de Voorstraat and the Midzomer festival Capelle. He has also developed his own concert series called Fabrieklassiek. In the Waalse Kerk, he will play works by Liszt.

Friday 13 February: Antonia Miller is an internationally renowned concert pianist. Since 2018, she has performed every year in the Waalse Kerk. She has also played throughout Europe, in venues such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Isarphilharmonie München and the Musikverein Vienna-Brahmssaal. In addition to her intensive piano studies, Antonia has also devoted herself to the world of historical keyboard instruments and the innovative subject of “conducting from the piano”. Antonia will be presenting her new repertoire, which includes many works from Spain.
