Ligconcert in the Grote Kerk: Canto Ostinato

While you lie down and listen, the music helps you relax, reconnect with yourself, and experience the unique acoustics of the centuries-old church. Under the painted vaults, an almost intimate atmosphere emerges where sound and space merge.

Aart Bergwerff is the house organist of the Grote Kerk Breda and internationally renowned for his innovative programmes that combine classical and contemporary music.

Eric Vloeimans is a highly acclaimed trumpeter and composer with an expressive style that combines jazz, minimal music, and improvisation.

Their joint live recording of Canto Ostinato was nominated for an Edison Klassiek 2025. During this concert, they will be part of the exhibition René! I'm Still Standing – Over liefde en verlies.

Practical information:

• Bring a mat, cushion, and/or sleeping bag.
• Wear comfortable, warm clothing.
• Find a nice spot in the church, lying or seated.
• A limited number of chairs are available.
• The doors open at 10:30 a.m.
• Concert start: 11:00 a.m.
• End of concert: 12:15 p.m.
