Library Card in MEZZ

Expressive but thoughtful, screeching but melodic, explosive but introverted: Library Card from Rotterdam is a band of contrasts. 

In November, the band will release their debut album ‘Peeling an Orange in Just One Go’. The title refers to a frantic spasm of despair and self-imposed naivety. "Peeling an orange in one go feels like a pointless victory," explains Lot. "But when it succeeds, you still get that feeling of 'Oh nice!'." 

 The audience at their live shows is growing exponentially, and some unreleased songs are already true crowd favourites. Within six months of their first official performance, Library Card supported Sports Team in front of 2,000 people and played the closing set at the infamous Rotterdam showcase festival Left of the Dial. Shortly thereafter, the band sold out their headline show at Rotown. 

The band has appeared at ESNS, SXSW, Le Guess Who?, Best Kept Secret, Into The Great Wide Open, Dauwpop, Dour, Loose Ends, Supersonic, Maifeld Derby, Outer Town, Grauzone, and many other prominent festivals both domestic and abroad.
