What is Kitty Purr? Kitty Purr is a series of meetups that aims to bring back social and visual poetry for adults in an inclusive way. Friendship books like the traditional 'Poesiealbum' have been around for centuries, but poetry has gradually disappeared as we get older. During the meetups, you will reconnect with yourself and each other through real visual poetry, writing and drawing. Each meetup ends with an in-depth workshop with a special theme and guest artist. This month's workshop is by Roos Keetels, a performer who is no stranger to visual poetry. Her work moves between the social and abstract, exploring the relationship between desire, impulse, choice, you, me and the space we find ourselves in. Her poetry consists of words, performances and (abstract) ceramic objects, which leave traces of her presence. "My presence is still there, hanging in the air, waiting for you to inhale it. I will leave my scarf on your coat rack so I can see you again."

In the workshop, you will explore the many surprising forms that visual poetry can take.
