Literature &amp; Music is a collaboration between the library and MuziekSalon Spronk&nbsp;About ‘The Initiates’, novel by Hella Haasse&nbsp; Six people of different ages, nationalities, and backgrounds come into contact with each other during their stay in Greece. From the American girl Jessica Manning to the ex-Nazi Helmuth Sturm, all strive to become who they fundamentally are. Each of them has their life story intertwined with that of another, to the point where it is no longer possible to see their destiny separately from what the others experience and inspire.&nbsp; The main characters are all seeking to be initiated, to know the secret of life.&nbsp;The novel ‘The Hidden Spring’ from 1950 and ‘The Initiates’ from 1957 by Hella Haasse are connected.
