Print music is coming to the MEZZ! Enjoy the number 1 hits of this Dutch Nederpop band.

Information

The Amsterdam Nederpop band Drukwerk, known for their hits ‘Je Loog Tegen Mij’, ‘Marianneke’ and ‘Schijn ’n Lichtje Op Mij’, was founded in 1978 by singer Harry Slinger and musicians Ton Coster, Joop May and Hans Witteveen.

They have been known for decades for their Dutch-language protest songs about burning issues of the time, such as youth detention centres and housing shortages. In 1981, Drukwerk released their long-playing record featuring the golden single ‘Je Loog Tegen Mij’ which reached number 1 in the Dutch Top 40 and can still be found in the NPO Radio 2 Top2000. In the following ten years, the band released seven more studio albums with hits such as ‘Marianneke’, ‘Schijn ’n Lichtje Op Mij’ and ‘Hee Amsterdam’.

Harry still sings the favourites from the Drukwerk repertoire with great energy. Come and see, lose your mind and don’t be surprised if you see three generations of fans going completely wild to both the well-known and new hits!
