This exhibition takes you on the artist Marjon's journey to explore the relationship between humans and their environment. The works originate from observation and intuition. An unexpected fascination, a landscape, an experience, or a plant serves as the starting point. For example, a simple stalk of kale initiated an unexpected dialogue with her, leading to new questions about connectedness, identity, and desire. In the paintings and drawings, people intertwine with their surroundings—sometimes visibly, sometimes merging seamlessly. In some cases, there is a metaphor that personifies the human, such as a cactus, a nettle, or the cabbage itself.<br><br>The work invites you to reflect on the tensions and dependencies with the world around you. From the first rough brushstroke to the final layer of paint—each piece has its own organic process. A process of balancing colours, searching for composition, of letting go and building up again. Marjon also enjoys the tactile experience of preparing the canvas and working on it.<br><br>You are invited to engage in your own dialogue with her works.
