What does the Flower Parade mean to the people who work on it every year? During a stay in Zundert, artists Martin & Inge Riebeek spoke to various parade builders. They discovered that behind the impressive flower floats lie remarkable personal stories.

The artists captured these stories on film. From love and loss to friendship and solidarity: the conversations show how much the parade means to the people of Zundert.

In the exhibition De weg van de Bloemen, the video portraits are combined with a large installation, specially designed by parade builders Huub van Caam and Sander van Hooydonk. This brings the worlds of art and the tradition of the Flower Parade together at Stadsgalerij Breda.
