On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November 2025, the third edition of Dance through the Neighborhood will take place at Wijkcentrum Princenhof. This annual event organized by De Ader connects generations through dance, movement, and creation. City residents, dancers, creators, and community professionals meet, share experiences, and create new stories together.

The theme of this edition is the exchange between young and old. Young dance professionals and a group of seniors embarked on an artistic process, guided by Dansnest. In the spring, they made short films that serve as the basis for the choreography premiering at Dance through the Neighborhood.

The performance creates a space where memories, longing, and the future find each other. The vulnerability of old age meets the vibrancy of youth, and vice versa. It takes place against the backdrop of a society that is increasingly searching and getting lost in a time of acceleration, aging, and youthfulness. In a time when generations have become separated—at school, in care, and at work—the choreography offers a temporary space where, without words but through the power of the dancing body, an approach is made.
