Dan Owen at MEZZ

Dan Owen began his career in the pubs of Shropshire, where he performed alongside his sister. Under the name Bluesboy Dan, he played songs by blues legends such as Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker. His cover of The Ballad of Hollis Brown attracted a lot of online attention, after which he played support for Birdy among other things.

With The Willow Tree, he released his most personal work to date. The recordings deliberately include spontaneous studio sounds, giving his music an unpolished, direct atmosphere. His latest album, Neptune, has also now been released.
