With a lit Christmas tree, a life-sized nativity scene, and beautiful greenery, the <a href="puuid#435ed31f-85c7-4cb7-935b-772f6d7b5fa7">Beguinage</a> transforms into a nostalgic Christmas picture. Throughout the afternoon, there will be musical performances in the Catharina Church (Beguinage Church), the Beguine Hall, and the Walloon Church.Musical performances:<ul><li>Mixed choir Nootwaar</li><li>Sing-along choir Lappen vol Smart</li><li>Ensemble Concordante</li><li>Training orchestra Harmony Amor Musae from Prinsenbeek</li><li>Training orchestra Harmony Concordia Ginneken</li><li>Professional guitarist Glen de Roo</li><li>Singing ensemble Bocca Bella</li><li>The gentlemen from De4</li><li>Piano duet with pianist Olga de Kort and mezzo-soprano Olga Prosolenko</li></ul>Other programme:<ul><li>The Bell Ringing Guild of Breda will ring the Joanna bell of the Catharina Church manually at various times in old-fashioned style.</li><li>Bauke 'Freiherr' van Halem from the Breda Rederijkerskamer Vroechdendael will recite poems</li><li>In the Beguine Hall, replicas from the Anton Pieck Museum in Hattem can be viewed, while the poems by Factor van de add a poetic dimension to the day.</li><li>In the Grote Hof, a unique rederijkers poem titled Wintertime at the Court will be performed. This poem, specially written for the occasion, will be accompanied by a tableau vivant, bringing the painting to life. Within the painting, visitors can have a historical experience by taking photos with historical characters.</li></ul>Museum visits and Christmas market:The Miniatures Museum in the Gate Building and the Beguinage Museum (house 29) are free to visit during the event. This gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about the rich history of the Beguinage and the world of miniatures.In the small courtyard, there is a small, cozy Christmas market featuring delicacies from D &amp; D Delicatessen, a stand with handmade jewelry, and Anton Pieck Christmas cards. Additionally, there will be a demonstration from blacksmith Van der Woerd, and visitors can fulfil their Christmas wishes with hot chocolate and glühwein. The proceeds from the Christmas market support various charities. Accordionist Jeroen van den Bosch will provide atmospheric Christmas music.

On Sunday 15 December, the historic Begijnhof will be transformed into a living painting by Anton Pieck. Christmas with Anton Pieck is an atmospheric afternoon full of music, art, and conviviality.
