Burnout Kiske and Mieske

Everything comes to an end, including four days of carnival. Prince Driekus puts down his baton and returns the keys of the city to the mayor. But not before thousands of Kielegatters have taken their last polonaise across the Grote Markt.

Then Kiske and Mieske, the carnival symbols of ut Kielegat, are taken down from the Town Hall and brought in a sorrowful procession of falls and rises to the Harbour. There, it’s set on fire. Carnival 2026 is over.
