During this workshop by BredaPhoto, photographer Lisa van der Rhee will take you into the world of portrait photography.

Bring your camera and get clicking! During this workshop, you’ll discover together with photographer Lisa van der Rhee how to create a portrait that shows more than just a face.

Lisa graduated from St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda and specialises in documentary and portrait photography. People and their stories are central to her work. During the workshop, she shares her knowledge and practical tips. How do you connect with someone you may have only just met? Which location do you choose? And how do you use the light available at that moment?

Afterwards, of course, you’ll get to work yourself. Together with the other participants, you’ll take portraits of one another and experiment with atmosphere, light, surroundings and composition. Technical perfection is not the most important thing. Above all, it’s about learning to look at the person in front of your camera and discovering how to convey your own feelings as a photographer through your work.

Bring your own camera, preferably with an SD card, so that you can also view the photos you take on the computer during the workshop.
