BredaPhoto: Cyanotype Workshop

Ever heard of cyanotype? This historic photographic technique is also known as blueprinting. During the workshop, you’ll get hands-on with paper, materials and light. By placing different shapes and objects on the paper and exposing them to light, you’ll create surprising blue prints.

Photographer and artist Leonie Gossens will guide you through the process step by step. You’ll gather materials, create your own compositions and experiment with cutting, sticking, drawing and painting. Anything goes: create an image with a personal story, or simply see what emerges.

All materials will be ready for you. Want to make your work even more personal? Bring something of your own that can lie flat on the paper, such as a piece of fabric, paper, a dried flower or another small object. It’s precisely the different shapes and textures that produce such special results.
