Princenhaags Museum

Bodil Havermans (1996) is the sister of Jelle and is an independent artist and part of the Breda art collective Zut Mon Sac. She graduated from St. Joost in Breda in 2020. As an independent artist, she works with abstract pieces. She has developed a working method in which she uses newspapers as a medium. She elaborates on this in various ways, such as: fine art prints and wooden objects with prints glued on them that are coated with eco-epoxy, creating a tile-like effect.Jelle Havermans (1990) is the brother of Bodil and is a self-taught artist in Breda. He creates abstract art and enjoys using different materials. It is always a nice challenge to let a process result in a new series of artworks. His work often involves repetition, for example through repeating lines. It is often built up from multiple layers and usually he uses the "colour" white. Combined with relief or pasty paint, the play of light also plays a significant role. This gives the work an extra dimension.Throughout the month of August, they will be working on new pieces on location at the Princenhaags museum, keeping the exhibition dynamic! They will conclude this period on the 30th of August with a refreshed exhibition.

The exhibition by Bodil and Jelle originated from the idea of collaborating in creating art. Therefore, they partially transform the Princenhaags museum into a (open) studio.
