Teenager Marty McFly (Michael J.. Fox) accidentally travels back to 1955 in a futuristic DeLorean, built by the eccentric Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd). There he inadvertently disrupts the meeting of his parents and risks erasing his own future. To secure his own existence, Marty must ensure that his parents fall in love, while simultaneously searching for a way to return to 1985.
