Art Exhibition "Authentic" by Hennie van de Lande and Carla Schoenmaker

Hennie van de Lande (1955, Breda/Princenhage) 
In her own words: Painting is important to me; it helps me express my feelings without needing anyone else. It gives me energy and feels liberating. I always paint abstractly and from my intuition. My themes are generally wild nature, wildflowers, and sometimes a nice photo of the grandchildren. What I paint isn’t important, but rather what the viewer feels or recognizes themselves. 

Carla Schoenmaker (1956, Rijsbergen) 
In her own words: Later in life, I attended the art academy where I graduated in sculpture in 2007. In my earlier life, I worked as a physiotherapist, and working with clay naturally flows into creating human figures. I am fascinated by the expressive power of the human body, body language. For me, this is the common thread in my work. Along this line, the concepts of (dis)balance, torsion, and asymmetry are central for me. Both literally (almost falling over) and figuratively, these are always exciting and inspiring aspects for me. 

The exhibition days at the Princenhaags museum in July 2026 are: Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The official opening is on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The last exhibition day is on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
