Guided tours of Gilde de Baronie

At Gilde de Baronie, you can choose from various guided tours upon registration. 

• Climbing the Tower of Grote Kerk Breda
  Wherever you approach Breda from, the slender tower of the Grote Kerk stands out with its height of 97 metres. A guide from Gilde de Baronie will take you up to 60 metres high. It’s quite a climb, but you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views over Breda and, on a clear day, far into the surroundings. In summer and around the holidays, the Gilde also organises candlelight climbs in the evening.

• Tour of Breda Castle
  Breda Castle is where the first Nassaus lived in the 15th and 16th centuries. Because it is a military site, visits are very limited.  Gilde de Baronie is the only organisation that offers guided tours here. These are always on Saturday afternoons.

• City Walk Through Breda
  Apart from gezelligheid (cosiness), shops, restaurants and terraces, Breda also boasts many beautiful monuments. These are central to the city tours by the guides of Gilde de Baronie. But the guide also does not miss out on modern sights.

• Tour of Castle and Gardens Bouvigne 
  On the edge of Mastbos lies a charming castle with three gardens in French, English, and German style: Bouvigne. Every last Friday of the month, you can join a guided tour through the castle and the special gardens afterwards.

Besides these tours, Gilde de Baronie organises theme walks such as the Geveltjesroute, tours through Grote Kerk, and walks through Ginneken and Princenhage among others.
