In his first solo performance Would you love me, artist Leendert Vooijce does not seek answers, but instead questions everything. At the intersection of poetry, theater, and visual arts, he creates space for reflection, wonder, and transformation.

As a child, Leendert crawled under the table with his grandmother’s heels on and whispered: “Mom, would you love me if I were a girl?” There was silence. But from that silence also arose a freedom: the space to develop outside binary structures.

How do we nurture a place in our society for someone who wants to create themselves? Leendert takes you on a poetic journey between masculinity and femininity. Apart from the often charged political context, he explores the meaning of identity and identification in our world. Because everyone has thoughts, ideas, or fantasies that sometimes fall outside the norm.
