At the age of 14, director Nick Broomfield coincidentally met guitarist Brian Jones on the train. Jones, as one of the founders of The Rolling Stones in 1962, was at the height of his success, with the world at his feet. This film highlights the seven turbulent years leading up to 1969, when Brian Jones had to leave the band. Shortly thereafter, he drowned in his swimming pool. Using revealing interviews with all the main players and, for the first time, released archive footage, the renowned filmmaker investigates in The Stones and Brian Jones how the creative musical genius Brian Jones disappeared into the shadows of history.<br><br>

About Groeneveld &amp; Van Dorst
Singer Gerard Groenveld grew up with music from the sixties, a great admirer of the Stones and currently performs with, among others, the band LSDoors. Guitarist Peter van Dorst (who has performed with, among others, Bertus Borgers, Herb Mews &amp; the Mules and Kaz Lux) has previously performed at the film house with music from King Crimson, but this time he will play music from one of his favourite bands, the Rolling Stones.<br><br>Would you like to have a bite to eat before the film?
