On Saturday 1st August, we are showing Balomania at the Asterdhoeve: a fascinating documentary about the Brazilian 'balloon mafia'. In the favelas, passionate makers build enormous hot air balloons up to 70 metres high.

Illegal, spectacular and full of risks, they take off, often accompanied by fireworks.
