The performance 'The Spirit of the Floodplain' is a combination of play, storytelling, music, singing, and visualisations. For two hours, you become a part of the dark days of the Second World War.

The basis is the eponymous book ‘The Spirit of the Floodplain’, by author John van Ierland. The story of Freek Cohen has come about through interviews, research, and historical references. The main character Freek did not exist as a person but was constructed by the writer from the experiences of several individuals who wanted to share their war past and their moving experiences with him. In short: a performance that will stay with you for a long time!
