Musical fragments float through the Nieuwe Veste, from 4 years to 99 years, so for everyone!Fragments from a number of famous children's books will be read aloud. After the reading, Harmonie Cecilia from Princenhage will perform a fitting piece of music to accompany this book fragment.The training orchestra of Harmonie Cecilia consists of about 25 members of all ages, many of whom have lessons or have had lessons at the Nieuwe Veste. The aim of the training orchestra is to help musicians grow in ensemble playing and prepare them for the Grand Orchestra. Enjoyment in making music together is central, as emphasised by conductor Jurgen Damen.
