On the edge of the Duiventoren forest area lies this beautiful nature and landscape garden, which was created by Toon on the grounds of his former flower and plant nursery. About 20 years ago, Toon changed course; he wanted to give the land back to nature. Since then, no pesticides have been used, leading to a healthy vegetation.Biodiversity is key - nature is allowed to take its course. It is now a garden full of surprises, a paradise for people, plants, and animals. There is a woodland garden, a butterfly garden, a maze garden, and an orchard in development. Ponds and pools make it a haven for dragonflies and amphibians, and insects and birds also enjoy it. Even foxes and deer are regularly seen here.If you want to get to know the activities of the IVN better, you can take a look at the information stand half an hour before or half an hour after the walk. The stand is set up in Toon's garden and offers a wealth of natural finds. Nowhere else can you examine bird feathers up close like here. There are also display cases offering a glimpse into various habitats.Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registration, you will receive information about the meeting point.

On Saturday 22 June, the nature guides of IVN Mark & Donge will take a walk through the nature-rich garden of Toon Thielen. Here you can find, among other things, a butterfly garden, a maze garden and a developing orchard.
