About the Garden of Toon Thielen On the Steenovensebaan near Dorst, Toon Thielen ran a traditional flower and plant nursery for 30 years. About 20 years ago, Toon changed course; he wanted to give the land back to nature. Since then, no pesticides or herbicides have been used, leading to healthy vegetation. A beautiful nature and landscape garden has now developed on 4 hectares.&nbsp;Streams and ponds have been dug. Flowerbeds with colourful flowers have been planted, along with special trees and shrubs. Elsewhere in the garden, nature has been given free rein. A herb-rich grassland has developed, which is mown once a year. The marshy edges around the ponds now host mosses and royal ferns, among other plants.&nbsp;The focus is on biodiversity. In this way, a paradise has been created for various insects and amphibians. &nbsp;Before and after the walk, you can visit the stall of the IVN, where you can see, smell, and feel everything that nature has to offer.&nbsp;Due to the great interest in this walk in the past, the walk will start at different times. Please note this when registering.Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registering, you will receive information about the starting point. The walks start at 13:00 and 15:00 and last approximately one and a half hours. &nbsp;
