On Sunday 5 October, the nature guides of IVN Mark &amp; Donge will organise a long walk themed: the further south, the sweeter; the older, the more beautiful. This walk is new in two respects: the route has not been walked before, and because October is the month of history, attention will be given to the botanical history of Chaam. This has been documented by Bernard Walrecht, who in 1936 wrote an article about his observations around Chaam. He found numerous rare species. Do we find any of them today? A landscape walk differs in character from the regular IVN nature walks. The length is 15 to 20 km, which means walking briskly and paying less attention to details. It will not be a march; you will have time here and there to stop and enjoy the natural phenomena you come across along the way. The walk goes from Chaam to Baarle-Nassau, then along Ulicoten back to Chaam, alternating through forests, fields, and along streams. Registration is possible until the day of the walk. After registering, you will receive information about the starting point.
